Rajasthan Road Map

The Rajasthan road map is an invaluable tool for tourists as well as locals to efficiently traverse that locale. It depicts the National highways and major roads that connect towns and cities in the state of Rajasthan. Rajasthan is huge as evident from the distance from town to town; it comprises 150,876 km of roadways that traverse throughout the vicinity. The total length of the network of national highways in Rajasthan is 5,585 kilometers. National highway 8 is the most well known highway due to the fact that it connects essential cities like Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Chittorgarh. It is also the first 4-8 lane highway in the said state. This particular highway is about 688 kilometers in length and is located on the upper right corner of the Rajasthan Road map.

Other National highways on the Rajasthan Road Map are the following: National Highway 3, National Highway 11, National Highway 11a, National Highway 11b, National Highway 12, National Highway 14, National Highway 15, National Highway 65, National Highway 76, National Highway 79, National Highway 79a, National Highway 89, National Highway 90, National Highway 112, National Highway 113, National Highway 114 and National Highway 116. Rajasthan is comprised of about 85 state highways which is 11,716 in length and even more smaller roads as seen in the Rajasthan Road Map.

Traffic in these roadways is heavy as it carries about 85 percent of the traffic. These roads are not exclusive for cities and towns; in fact villages are of course also taken into consideration. These particular roads, which can be found in the Rajasthan Road map, is called bitumen roads. One must always remember that Rajasthan is the largest state in the Indian republic area wise so knowledge of the placements of roads and its uses can be valuable most especially to travelers, he/she can easily get lost in the inhospitable Great Indian dessert.

Notice that the roads and highways are distant from the international borders; this is due to the disputes between its neighboring country Pakistan. In about 5-10 years expect another 20-30 Highways and roadways as tourism and trade in Rajasthan expands.
